Just a quick photo update before I head to bed...should be there already! :) Can't believe it's been almost 20 days since my last update!?? :O Time is flying!

Friday, Feb. 19, we had our secret sister's supper at church. It's the end of the year, when we find out who's who! :) Carol Yoder and I were in charge this year and we had a spring theme. We needed that after a cold winter! :)

Saturday was the kids final Upward Games. Tamara cheered from 10-11, then we had an hour break till Danny's game started, so we bought lunch at Burger King and enjoyed the 60 degree day at the Depot Park! :)

Saturday evening we had a Bridal Shower for Ruth Ann Yoder, soon to be Powell! :) Her family had it decorated so nice!

Please keep praying for me and my heart issue. It is scary at times and the next time I can rest in knowing that God is in control. Looking forward to getting tests done next week, that will hopefully give some answers!

Nature Walk/Exercise

Yesterday I had to meet my new Tupperware lady (since I am not selling anymore!) in town at 11:30 to give her a few broken items.
I decided that since rain was coming today and we were already in town, and I was lagging behind with my walking goal, we would go walk on the Greenway trail.

The children thought the water in the creek looked like Sweet Tea!! :) It was very orange in a few spots!

I wanted to walk for an hour, but about 20 minutes into it, Danny said he was feeling bad. He looked kind of pale and said he felt really hot, so we sat and rested a few minutes then decided to go back.
After a short rest, he seemed to feel better and wanted to keep going. We had taken a side branch of the trail that just leads to a trail head and decided to turn around and head into town toward the train. So we walked on....

The peaceful trail! We saw woodpeckers, cardinals, squirrels, dead deer *eww* :P and lots more birds! Only passed a few other people...oh, and the police were actually patrolling the path!! :O That's the first I saw them out!

Danny showing a long pine cone he found. There were some HUGE ones on the trail!! Next time we want to get some that are open a little more and fill them with peanut butter and bird seed and hang them out here for the birds. :)

So, I am guessing that we walked about 80 minutes, although we were on the trail more like 105 minutes. I think we will make this a weekly adventure till it starts getting too warm!

Today we are back to the books! After lunch we are going to clean! This is the first day this week that we are staying home, the first evening we have no plans! Yippee!!
Tomorrow is the 3rd to last Upward game. The children are both really enjoying it!
I've seen a big improvement in Danny's playing and this week, since there weren't as many kids at practice, the coach had more time to spend with them one on one!
Tamara is learning some new cheers again this week.
I'm glad they are having fun, but I will be so ready for it to be over! :)

Black Light Mini Golf

Last night Dan & I did something we have never done before....we played black light mini golf! :) The children played here with Sam and Katrina when they were down over Thanksgiving and they really wanted Dan & I to go sometime! (and of course take them along!!) :)

Well, Monday's you can play most anything at Kindell Lanes for $1 per person! Bowling, Maze, Rock Wall, Mini Golf, etc. So we promised the children we would take them some Monday night. This wasn't the best week, but we already had to put it off once and Dan works 2 Monday nights out of the month, so we knew it would be awhile till we could go again.

So we get there and I went to pay for us, and she said my total was $24! :O So I asked her about the Monday deal and *ding, ding, ding* someone doesn't pay too close attention to detail....that deal was only till 5 PM and it was almost 6:30! :P I didn't have that much $$ on me, so I said I'll have to go out and get the extra $4~ Well, the lady was so kind and said she is going to let us in for $1 each since we thought that's how much it was. :) What a kind lady!! :)

We had so much fun!! We were the only one's out there, so we took our time! :)


Since I needed the flash, you can't really tell how cool it looked in there....but I took one of Tamara without a flash to give you an idea what it looked like in there....
The children knew from last time that the lighter clothes you wear, the more you "glow". :)

Okay, Dana!! I am joining you!! I am committed to walking 1,000 minutes in the next month. And that won't include normal walking around the house! :) Here's too exercise!! WOOHOO!!!

My plan is to walk 30 minutes a day and once a week go to the park and take a 1 hour walk! Now I just need to figure out how to keep my dog at home....he slows me down! I guess a chain would do! :)

Does jogging add any time to your "walking minutes"? :D
