~A First~ & ~ A Baby Shower~

Today was a beautiful spring day all across the country, it sounded like! We had in the low 60's with a nice breeze....a perfect day for drying wash. I had done all but the towels yesterday, so this morning I got them out on the line nice and early!

Finally around 3 I decided to bring the towels in so I could make supper and still have plenty of time to get ready to go to a baby shower tonight. As I was walking away from the clothesline, I noticed smoke coming out of a pipe at the shop next door. I thought it strange, and looked again. That's when I realized the smoke was not coming out the pipe, but out along the edge of the roof!!! :O And about the time I realized that, I heard a loud POP! I knew nobody was over there, because the gate was shut. So I quickly ran my wash inside, grabbed the phone and ran back outside to be sure I wasn't seeing things.
By the time I got back outside I was *smelling* the smoke! So I quickly called 911.....(that's were "a first" comes in.....I've never had to do that before and I was shaking!!) :O Then I called the neighbor who owns the shop and told his wife that the shop was on fire!!

This is what it looked like after I got off the phone.....the smoke was pouring out the opposite side of the shop because of the direction of the wind!

It seemed to take F.O.R.E.V.E.R. for the firetrucks to get there......it really didn't take very long!!

BUT, the gate was locked!! :O Thankfully they have tools for occasions like that!

Finally in....

The fire was small, mostly contained to a garbage can! Don't know for sure what started it?? Just so glad it wasn't worse...I sure didn't know what they were going to find!

I got a kick out of this old truck....it was the first one on the scene, though!! :)

**BABY SHOWER**

Tonight I was invited to a baby shower for my friend Beth's daughter Bekah. A couple of us ladies from church rode together. They are expecting a baby boy soon! :)

Visiting and snacking.....

Cute onesies made by Bekah's sis-in-law, Amy!! :) The cutest one was the one Beth is holding with a yellow tie on the front!! :)

Well, Dan is finished with school till the summer semester, so I am looking forward to some great evening's together!! If I can stay home once! LOL!!
Ya'll have a good night~

About a year ago or more, we discussed how nice it would be to put a storm door in the front of our house. I enjoy having doors open in the spring and fall and we also needed more air flow since our living room windows are missing screens. So we decided to use our tax refund last year and purchase one. Didn't happen! LOL! We talked about it again this year and my hubby so kindly took me shopping to Lowes :)

This week, Rocky Weaver came and installed it for us! I am loving it already!! And so is the dog. He can lay outside the door and see what's going on inside. Before, he was only hearing noises! :)

This isn't a real good picture, but you get an idea what it looks like....

We've been having some gorgeous spring days. Dan came home early yesterday since he worked a 12 hour day on Monday. We enjoyed some time outside playing with the dog and grilling burgers for supper!

~Mocha~ just waiting for someone to play ball with him. Whenever you step outside, he goes and finds his ball and brings it to you! We got him to obey "Drop it" and he'll drop it at your feet and then we throw it for him. He runs SO fast. One day I need to get a video of him playing fetch!

Dan reading his school textbook while grilling burgers :) He's on the final countdown of the semester. He will be taking the lat part of the semester off and his deadline for this class is tomorrow night. He is hoping to take his test and be done tonight yet!
I can hardly wait!! :)

The children had their bikes out and were "racing" invisible people. :)

At bedtime last night, the kids were supposed to be getting pajama's on and here this old man walks out of Danny's room. :) I'd say he goes to the opposite extreme of those guys who wear their britches near the ground!! ;)

I finally got a call from my doctor today! The results of the tests are great. Everything they checked looks to be in fine shape! :) I am still going to keep my cardiologist appointment for March 29. They will be doing a stress test and I will have to wear an event monitor for a week, whenever one comes available.
She said my gall bladder looks fine and that's what I was concerned was the problem. So now I'm not sure what to think. But I am going to let it in God's hands unless I have more or worse symptoms, then we might consider checking into other possibilities.

Tomorrow morning we are going to do some shoe shopping in Tall. then planning to meet Dan's mom for lunch. She is coming down to south GA to pick up Dan's uncle and take him up to live with them for a week. From there we are going to spend the rest of the day and part of Saturday with my sister and her family!! :) Always fun times!!

I know I haven't posted on here lately and may try to do some updates sometime soon. But don't hold your breath! Life is busy.... :) Goodnight~
